Shipiba Pottery Exclusivitely
To make a ceramic its necesary two or three months and these are use for a big party called ( Ani - sheati ).- In this ceramic they prepare a brevage called ( Masato ).
The person who makes the ceramic is a shipibo conibo woman who at the same time teaching this art her granddauther.
The ceramic woman install a work shop near her house because she needs to get quite and infocus on the work.
The shipibo conibo man helps to doing holes under the ground where ceramics are cooking they also pick up all the necesary natural things to elaborate it like arcilla, tree bark of and vegetables tint.
It´s posible to find two similar but even those has their different it could happen maybe because those ones has been made by the same woman and it´s because each ceramic is imagen and inspiration for each woman.
For this it should be consider as a piece of art for its originality and tecnique to continue with their own culture and usefulness.
The " tinajas " or ceramics might to be separate in two big groups :
New ones.-Those ones keep their color and natural shine.It´s keeping a new aparience.
Antique ones.- Those ones were using at the party, so it have had the antique appearance ( antiquity : no more than 10 years old ).I´ve recomended you my own collection, considering I´ve had 25 years old in experience.
